About
“I can never read all the books I want; I can never be all the people I want and live all the lives I want; I can never train myself in all the skills I want. And why do I want? I want to live and feel all the shades, tones and variations of mental and physical experience possible in life. And I am horribly limited.” -Sylvia Plath

-playing kings on a folding card table in the back of the bus until we hit a particularly large pothole and all of the drinks and cards on the table slammed up against the back window of the bus and spilled everywhere in the most hilarious way.
-drunk nick crawling on hands-and-knees out of the pizza shop we went to in oakland. nobody noticed except the pizza guy behind the counter. nick made it out the door and across the street straight crawling, then laid down on the sidewalk before we successfully caught up with him.
-DANCING DANCING DANCING station square shadyside inside the bus all of the dancing dear lord soooo much fun
-chanting ‘ART! ART! ART! ART!’ out the open bus windows as we drove past the arts fest in broad daylight to random people (middle-aged couples, families, general non-drunk pittsburghers.)
unnecessary maddie angst of the night: i really want to name my kids after characters from my favorite books, but one of my favorite books is John Steinbeck’s ‘East of Eden’ which is quite long, so what if the child who gets that name hates reading and can’t get through so many pages?
